International Anti-Corruption Day: Uniting with Youth to Shape Tomorrow’s Integrity
Nairobi, Kenya – As the world marks International Anti-Corruption Day under the theme “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity,” Development Through Media (DTM) reaffirms its commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership through media freedom, digital rights, civic education, and public participation.
Corruption continues to undermine democratic institutions, divert public resources, and weaken public trust. In this context, the role of young people, supported by a free, independent, and safe media and inclusive digital spaces, is indispensable in exposing corruption, demanding accountability, and advancing integrity in public life.
DTM works closely with journalists, youth, and communities to strengthen ethical reporting, digital resilience, election integrity, and citizen accountability as critical pillars in the fight against corruption.
On this day, DTM calls upon government, civil society, media, and the private sector to protect civic space, safeguard young voices, and reject impunity in all its forms.
The fight against corruption remains inseparable from the struggle for human rights, democracy, and social justice.
